Friends are supposed to support you in and have your back. But what is a friend that just walks away?

At some point in our busy lives we can always count on having a friend that is there for us when we need them. While other times it is hard to tell that friend that you need some space just to be yourself especially if you are going to school or working two jobs. Though most friends will respect that better than most, but I have found out for myself that some friends need to understand why the other person feels like a third wheel or even the last person to find out what is going on among others.

You may be asking yourself where I get my advice from and I am here to say that it comes from  experiences from previous friendships. If you have ever wonder what it is like to loose a friend. It is tough, hard at times, jealousy starts to creep up on you, and finally it seems like everything was alright in the beginning, but in reality things do change, people grow up for themselves.

A friend is someone that you can always count on to have your back. Times are hard when it comes to choosing who your friends are. Although it may seem like things have taken a twist or a turn in the road. Just know that others are going through the samething with friendships.

Personal Boundaries

1. What comes to mind when you think of having a successful friendship with your peers?

Seems like now days when it comes to being around your friends that when they want to hang out with you and you are busy working two jobs and getting your education. It is always best to lay your cards on the table and tell them your boundaries. At first it is not as easy as it seems, but time after time it does grow. It just goes to show that by setting boundaries for example having to schedule it into the day. There might come a day when those boundaries that you set come into play. Plus many friendships have obstacles where you play right into their hands. It might be fun at first but it can be deceiving to not just you but for others.

2. How and when to establish personal boundaries in any kind of relationship?

It is always good to set good personal boundaries at the beginning of the friendship or in any other relationship. Plus, it also depends on the type of relationship that you have with people including coworkers or even your friends. As any other relationship with other people communication is needed.

3. What are some personal boundaries that you have set up for your friends, family, coworkers, etc.?

a) Communication
b) Schedule ahead of time
c) Physical and Emotional limits
d) OVEREXTENDING friendships

Its always good to have these personal boundaries when it comes to starting a new type of anything relationship.
